The following reference databases are available to Delaware Valley students (and their parents) at any time, from any computer by going to the Pike County Public Library (PCPL) website, www.pcpl.org GROLIER ONLINE - Delaware Valley students may now access Grolier Online from Pike County Public Library's Milford and Dingman Township Branches, or by remote access from home. Students will need to enter their Pike County Public Library card barcode number in order to access the database. POWERLIBRARY – A comprehensive reference resource providing access to 40 databases, including magazine and journal articles through EBSCO, Kids Search (K-5), Student Research Center (6-12) and more (also available at each DVSD school building without the use of a library card and password). LEARN-A-TEST – Take a sample SAT or AP test, prepare for the SAT via an online tutorial, or improve your math and reading skills. ENCYCLOPAEDIA BRITANNICA – You’ll find easy access to this renowned reference resource, as well as the full Merriam-Webster online dictionary and thesaurus. Pike County Public Library cards are free to all Pike County residents. To get your PCPL card, stop by any library branch and you will be issued a card on the spot. Be sure to bring identification verifying a Pike County address. Call the library at 570-296-8211 for more information. |

The Keystone College Delaware Valley Center is located in the 9th and 10th grade wing of the Delaware Valley High School in Milford, Pennsylvania. Our student-centered, flexible scheduling options afford students with families and careers the opportunity to achieve educational goals. Students may earn an associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or criminal justice. Additionally, students’ may enroll in general education courses. Transfer students are welcome.

Inclement weather can force the closing or delay of school and the Delaware Valley School District is using their automated phone system to provide an easy way for students and parents to find out if school is delayed or closed at any time. Calling any of the main school telephone numbers and then pressing "1" after the system answers will provide an announcement of school delay or closing information. This recorded announcement is updated within minutes of any delay or closing decision. Because it is an automated system, it is available twenty-four hours a day. The initial decision to delay opening or close school is made by 5:45 a.m. and when the opening of school is delayed, the decision to close is generally finalized by 7:45 a.m. "The automated phone system gives our community quick and immediate access to school delay and closing information," said Delaware Valley Superintendent, Dr. Candis Finan. "Any parent can easily check and not have to wait for the announcement from broadcast media. Checking the automated system when bad weather develops during the school day will let parents find out about early dismissals, too." The main school numbers are:
